Understanding the Gap
KHC conducted the Kentucky Housing Supply Gap Analysis. This provided us with a tool to provide housing providers, developers, local leaders, and nonprofit organizations a better understanding of the state of the housing market.
From that we learned that Kentucky’s housing market faces a complex challenge: a significant housing supply gap between available housing and the needs of residents.

Kentucky Housing Supply Dashboard
To better understand how the current housing gap is impacting Kentucky households and the statewide efforts to close the gap, we created the Kentucky Housing Supply Dashboard.
Within it, we’ve provided information on permit activity, home price and income analysis, and housing affordability by common occupations. The Kentucky Housing Supply Dashboard will be updated on an annual basis.
