Find resources and programs that can help you with your rent. While Kentucky Housing Corporation’s main Housing Choice Voucher (HCV/Section 8) waiting list is closed, we offer many other specialized programs for Kentuckians with specific needs.

FSS

A voluntary program for people who are receiving housing assistance through the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program administered by KHC. With the FSS Program, KHC opens - and contributes to - a savings account in the participant's name.

FUP

Families for whom the lack of adequate housing is a primary factor OR Youth who have attained at least 18 years and no more than 24 years of age who have left foster care or will leave foster care within 90 days.

Mainstream

Persons with disability may receive assistance with a referral from the Balance of State Continuum of Care partners.

Veteran Programs

Homeless Veterans programs, receive referrals through Veterans Affair Medical Centers.

Stability Vouchers

Assist individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness; at risk of experiencing homelessness; fleeing, or attempting to flee, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, or human trafficking; or were recently homeless and for whom providing rental assistance will prevent the family’s homelessness or having high risk of housing instability.

Scholar House

Scholar House is an innovative housing model that allows parents to obtain housing, childcare, and supportive services while they earn a college degree.

Recovery Kentucky

The Recovery Kentucky centers help people recover from addiction and gain control of their lives so they can eventually reside in permanent housing.

HOPWA

Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA) provides housing assistance and support services to low-income individuals with HIV/AIDS and their families. Services include rental assistance, short-term rent/mortgage/utility assistance, and case management, all aimed at helping eligible households find stable housing and community support.
