Kentucky Housing Corporation’s (KHC) Tenant Assistance Programs (TAP) team administers two distinct types of housing programs, Project-Based Contract Administration (PBCA) and Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Programs.

Project-Based Contract Administration (PBCA)

KHC administers the PBCA program on behalf of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This program provides rental assistance to specific housing complexes for low-income residents.

Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Programs

KHC uses federal funds from HUD to provide rental assistance for HCV program participants. Landlords receive a portion of the monthly contract rent from KHC on behalf of HCV families. The average wait time for the program averages three to five years and is dependent upon HUD funding availability.
