​​​​​The 2026 Kentucky Affordable Housing Conference (KAHC) will be held Wednesday and Thursday, August 5-6, 2026, at the Central Bank Center in Lexington, Kentucky.​

About the Conference

#KAHC26 is hosted by KHC and addresses the many facets for affordable housing in the Commonwealth — single-family development, multifamily development, homeownership, housing counseling, energy efficiency, and housing for special populations.

Last year was a dynamic conference full of great conversations that we want to continue in 2026! This year's theme is "Framing Kentucky's Future;" join us as we discuss ways the Commonwealth can continue to accelerate housing production, new ways to think about partnerships, and working in times of uncertainty.

  Deep-dive tactics for administering weatherization under DOE Formula, DOE BIL, and LIHEAP, highlighted by the interactive Pre-Conference Weatherization Training on August 4.

  Frameworks for combining affordable housing initiatives with healthcare, education, and workforce development to help communities thrive.
• Development and Lending
  Updated best practices in single-family and multifamily development, homeownership counseling, and utilizing tools like the Shared Appreciation Mortgage (SAM).

Drawing over 700 attendees and more than 40 sponsors to the Central Bank Center, the event is designed for direct relationship building. Local representatives will bring back a robust network of cross-sector partnerships, including face-to-face connections with:

• Local, state, and federal agency representatives.
