Kentucky Housing Corporation’s (KHC) provides rental assistance directly to applicants through the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program, also known as Section 8. This provides a voucher that moves with the recipient to different rental units that accept it.
Applications are not currently available, and we do not have an estimate for when the list will reopen. If you are looking for rental assistance, please check our other specialized programs to see if you qualify.
The HCV program does not provide immediate or emergency assistance for housing, the average wait time for the program could be three to five years. If you need immediate assistance, please visit our Get Help page for a list of available resources.
