Section 8 for Single Room Occupancy (SRO) provides rental assistance to homeless individuals in rehabilitated SRO housing. Eligible applicants include public housing authorities and nonprofit organizations in partnership with public housing authorities (excluding Fayette County, Jefferson County, and the city of Covington). Eligible activities include rental assistance for homeless persons where an equal value of rehabilitation to a single-room occupancy structure is provided as a match.
