Message from Interim CEO

Thank you for visiting the Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) Web site.  We hope you will find this site resourceful and accommodating to your needs. 

After 23 years with KHC in leadership positions that have included controller and chief officer of programs, operations and finance, I have been pleased to accept the position of interim chief executive officer.  During my tenure in this position, which began January 23, 2008, I have three goals that will steer the direction of the Corporation.

Number One:  KHC has a 35-year tradition of excellence and a longtime reputation as one of the nation’s top state housing finance agencies.  I am proud to not only uphold and continue this tradition, but I will also see that the Corporation remains steadfast in responsible and sound financial stewardship. 

Number Two:  The key to KHC’s outstanding history as a leader in affordable housing is our dedicated and diverse staff.  The culture of success and inclusion is important, as the programs we administer change the lives of the Kentucky families we serve.  We haven’t stood still for the last 23 years and we continue to look for ways to enhance our programs and our delivery of services. 

Number Three:  At KHC, we know our successful partnerships are our number one asset.  We know we cannot fulfill our mission sitting behind our desks in Frankfort.  We need dedicated partners throughout the state to help provide housing to Kentuckians.  We will work to enhance our existing partnerships and strive to create new ones.

We have always been proud of our evolving and emerging slate of programs to accommodate the affordable housing needs of Kentuckians, from homelessness to home buying options.  In addition to these three goals, during this time of homeownership financing challenges, we will continue to extend and explore expanding financing opportunities that are always worthy of public trust.
