During the 1996 legislative session, the General Assembly found and declared it to be in the public interest to establish a state policy on housing by way of House Bill No. 73, signed by Governor Paul E. Patton on January 11, 1996. This act is known as the Commonwealth of Kentucky Housing Policy Act of 1996.
