Lisa Beran

Lisa Beran, interim executive director of Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC), has served the Corporation since 2008 before retiring in March 2019. Her chief responsibilities included serving as deputy executive director of Production and Programs, overseeing management of corporate resources for all programs, including multifamily finance, as well as rental assistance programs, asset management and compliance, and all federal block grant programs.

Formerly serving as KHC's general counsel, she led Legal Services and Compliance to provide proactive support to administration and programmatic endeavors through legal, regulatory and legislative guidance, and by fostering strong relationships with the government and the public. 

Prior to her employment with KHC, Lisa worked as a legal consultant and national trainer. Previously, Lisa was manager of the Homeownership Education and Counseling program for KHC. She also served as legal counsel for Kentucky's statewide network of nonprofit domestic violence shelter program and as an attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. She provided consulting and training for a variety of business professionals, including national nonprofit and governmental technical assistance/training entities, homeownership counselors, nonprofit agencies, mediators, justice system professionals, health care providers, and law enforcement officers.

Lisa is a graduate of Wake Forest University, Ohio State University, and the University of Cincinnati.
