GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Serves as team lead for the group. Responsible for knowing all facets of the tasks from closing loans, funding, purchasing, closed loan review and legal review of all closed loans. Serves as lead trainer for all staff and works closely with the Closing and Quality Review Manager to develop policy and procedures. Requires a working knowledge of all Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and federal regulations as it relates to closing and insuring FHA, VA, RHS and conventional loans. This includes first and second mortgage loans generated from correspondent and third-party originators. Assists with employee and external lender training specific to loan delivery through final audit. Responsible for Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems (MERS) audits, reports and issues, as applicable to origination. Provides leadership and direction to various positions within the Single-Family Department as well as other internal & external customers.
