Kentucky Housing Corporation Honors Top Lenders

Lending Partners Ensure Safe Home Loans for Kentuckians
FRANKFORT, KY.— Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC), the state housing finance agency, recognized its 2017 top lending partners at the 13th Annual Lender Luncheon in Lexington on March 8, 2018.

Kentuckians who received a KHC home loan in 2017 worked with one of more than 100 partnering lender banks and mortgage companies in communities across the state. KHC offers loans for first-time and repeat home buyers, and refinancing options for current homeowners. Since 1972, nearly 95,000 Kentuckians have become homeowners by obtaining a KHC loan.

At the luncheon, KHC announced a new conventional loan product for manufactured homes. This product will be available starting Monday, March 12, 2018, and is an exciting addition to KHC’s offerings to give homebuyers more options.

“KHC would not reach our goals of providing access to affordable homeownership if it wasn’t for the continued support of our mortgage partners; we are grateful for all they do to help home buyers with loans, down payment assistance, and fixed rates for the life of the loan,” said Brenda Walker, managing director of Single-Family Programs at KHC.

“Having a home provides a financial asset for families,” said Edwin King, executive director of KHC. “We are grateful to our partners for helping KHC make homeownership possible for so many Kentuckians. Together, we break down barriers and make housing more affordable across the commonwealth.”
