Richard L. McQuady Named New Chief Executive Officer of Kentucky Housing Corporation

Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) Board of Directors Chairman, William E. Summers, V, announced today, October 21, that Richard L. McQuady has been named chief executive officer. 

“The Board is pleased that Rick has accepted this position,” said Summers following the announcement. “He has many years of program and financial experience with Kentucky Housing Corporation. This experience and his leadership ability will prove to be an asset while he leads the housing agency.”

McQuady was named interim chief executive officer in January 2008 and has worked at the Corporation for 23 years.  He is a native of Louisville, Kentucky, and is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University. Now a resident of Lexington, Kentucky, McQuady said he is looking forward to continuing his service at KHC and building statewide partnerships that provide affordable housing opportunities for Kentuckians.  

“I am looking forward to working with KHC’s Board, staff and housing partners across the stateto continue our reputation of being one of the most successful state housing agencies in the nation,” said McQuady.


dy has previously served Kentucky Housing as controller, chief programs officer, chief operating officer and chief financial officer.  He is a certified public accountant (CPA) and is a member of the Kentucky Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business administration from Eastern Kentucky University.


Kentucky Housing Corporation, the state housing finance agency, was created by the 1972 General Assembly to provide affordable housing opportunities.  As a self-supporting, public corporation, Kentucky Housing offers lower-than-market rate home mortgages, housing production financing, homeownership education/counseling, rental assistance, housing rehabilitation and supportive housing programs for special needs populations.
