Kentucky Housing Corporation Honors Top Lenders

Lending Partners Ensure Safe Home Loans for Kentuckians

Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC), the state housing finance agency, recognized its 2012 top lending partners of affordable mortgage loans at the Eighth Annual Lender Luncheon on Thursday, March 21, 2013, in Shelbyville.

Kentuckians who received a home loan from KHC in 2012 worked with one of 74 lending partner banks and mortgage companies located in communities throughout the state.  KHC offers loans for first-time and repeat home buyers, as well as refinancing options for current homeowners.  Since its creation in 1972, more than 86,000 Kentucky households have become homeowners by obtaining a KHC loan.

“Our partners are the reason we at KHC are able to help Kentuckians,” said Brenda Walker, senior director of KHC’s Homeownership Department.  “It is through them that so many homeowners learn about all KHC has to offer, and we are so proud of and grateful to our partners for all they do.”

“KHC has always been strong and will remain strong thanks to our partners across the state,” said Richard L. McQuady, Kentucky Housing Corporation’s chief executive officer.  “Without them, we would not be able to provide housing options to Kentuckians.”
